It all started at Soul the Salon, or was it Serafina? Or Boat St Café? Or maybe it was Rock Band at Dave's? Regardless, there were cool shoes and great times. It's been a fabulous six years and we can't wait to get hitched and celebrate with our friends and family.

Some favorite memories....

Jami meeting Mickey and Meggan the first time. Meggan excitedly answered the door, interested to meet dad's new lady friend. We went bowling and ate pizza - a fun, memorable day

We've planned monthly "surprise dates" since we started dating.  We alternate who sets up the surprise every month, and have done everything from trips to Vancouver and Portland, scavenger hunts, paragliding, the ballet, theater, and dinner at new restaurants

Valentine's trip to Vancouver on the train a little over a month after we started dating. Oh, we look so young....

Our first trip to Europe (Slovenia, Croatia, and Italy) where we found out that there are different definitions for "not planning" our trip. We had no hotel reservations, and while Dave liked taking pictures when arriving in a new town,  Jami preferred finding a place to stay. A definite test to our relationship, but we learned a lot, grew closer, and had a wonderful vacation

Surprise paragliding where Dave realized just how afraid of heights Jami was (she still did it!)

The Polar Bear Dive run where we jumped into Lake Washington on the morning of January 1st (and were pictured in the Seattle Times!)

Our trip to Maui with Mickey and Meggan over Thanksgiving 2012

Our tradition of St. Martin's Feast at Serafina (the event that hosted our first "non-date date" 3 months before we started dating)

Jami's idea of "canyoning" in Slovenia... she thought it would be like a natural water slide, but it's actually an extreme sport that requires a helmet. We repelled and jumped off of tall waterfalls into small pools of shallow water. The instructor described in broken English that when making a 20 ft leap to 'jump right there (small area in the water) or you break leg,' 'you jump that way, half way turn other way or you break arm.'  Dave had a blast, Jami saw her life flash before her eyes and thought about all the people she should have called to say 'I love you' before embarking down the canyon. Jami had fun despite bruising her tailbone

Our brief but prolific endeavor in infusing alcohols. Ginger tequila anyone?

Dave giving in to Jami's incessant pleading to get a dog. We decided to adopt a short-haired, 1-2 year old, 15-20 lb pooch. Instead, we came home with an 8 week old, 2.2 lb fluff ball named Mia who is absolutely amazing. Meggan was with us when we met Mia and confirmed that she was the one. Jami's thoughts on Mia: 'She brings so much joy to our lives and I can't imagine not having her!' Dave's thoughts on Mia: 'I like her, most of the time.' Jami's thoughts on Dave's thoughts on Mia: 'Dave is absolutely smitten with the little lady. If she cuddles up with me in the morning, pretty soon I can feel Dave scoop her up and slide her over to him. There's also a lot of puppy love talk that I hear from Dave to Mia, so pretty sure it's true love'

Jami's PhD! The bigger accomplishment may have been staying together while one of us was going through a doctoral program
